I've gone to see this owl nearly 15 times to get a shot like this - with his eyes open facing the camera. However, each visit, I found that I just wasn't able to. The owl was either too hidden, or couldn't be found, or the light wasn't good, or his eyes weren't open.... But finally today, it all came together!
