Iconic race car with victories in Le Mans. At the time the 917 was the most powerful sports car ever made. With “over 1200” horsepower from the twin-turbo, flat-12 variant, it dominated racing for years.
The body and chassis built by the company RCR located in the USA. This company manufactured replica race cars and built all the race cars used in the must-see film “Ford vs Ferrari” about Carol Shelby.

The car was standing still in a warehouse. I had the original idea to do a silhouette shot, but ended up wtih this concept of a legendary race battle.
The final image is painterly and beautiful. I really like this look.
