Something that was certainly on the bucket list was getting the cable car from Chamonix to the top of the Aiguille du Midi. At 3842m it held the title of highest cable car for over 2 decades. What’s even more baffling is that the first version was built in 1955! Once at the summit you have the most breathtaking view of the French Alps and Mt Blanc. I snapped this photo one evening from the balcony of our Airbnb.
