This was taken at Stair Hole in Dorset, UK, and was a nightmare to get to - it had rained the night before and the only way to get to the water was down a clay covered slope where the cliff edge had given way at some stage in the past. Getting down was difficult, getting back up was even harder!
Due to the rocks, I had to balance my tripod for the long exposure and had a few near misses of tripod tipping where I almost broke my camera on one occasion (but thankfully I caught it!).
What I loved about this particular area was the cove these rocks sat in. Because it churned the water it meant that the majority of the foreground was covered in a mist like substance as a result of the long exposure, and it avoided the typical “glass” effect that we all typically get with these types of photographs. I don't think I'll be in a position to take this again, and it's by far one of my favourite images I've ever taken.
