Kodama

Kodama 木魂 - in Japanese folklore is a spirit that inhibits trees. It is told that she's the one responsible for delayed effect of echo in the mountains and valleys. Mostly she's nice and roams the mountain woods, but should you go chopping trees, then be ready to face her entangling wrath and curses.
