Sprinkenhof

Sprinkenhof is a factory in Hamburg Germany and this is a well known shot but I've not seen it with all 7 levels so decided to create this. It is a stitched image of 39 separate images with the final result being 3.5 Gigapixels, I've dropped the resolution a little for social media.

What a picture! And thank you so much for always explaining a bit - both about the subject as about how you approached it to come to your incredible results.

hey!!! thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it

Really love your images. Would you mind explaining your stitching process? Was there a reason you shot so many images? Did you just want a high-res image or were you correcting for convergence? Thanks!

Hi Richard, I wasn't going to very high res its just where I ended up, 2 main reasons for so many shots are:
1, when you see a shot of this courtyard normally, most people get 3/4 floors by either using a very wide lens or some stitching. I wanted to get all 7 floors in and I dont have a fisheye lens. So I took lots of shots to get the whole building in.
2. In courtyards you're dealing with very high contrast, so I bracketted each image in 3 shots.

The bracketting process itself I think I used a combination of Photoshop and and PTGui as neither could do the entire job but I could use the positives of each to get the job done.
