About 1 hour before taking this photo it was raining torrentially and I was about to give up taking a photo at sunset. I waited about 20 minutes in the car and the rain was lessening in intensity until it finally disappeared along with the clouds that gave way to this sky in purple tones, allowing the sun to peek up to illuminate the towers for its farewell.
These two towers are former radar towers of the air force, but nowadays they are only tourist attraction. They are located at the highest point of mainland Portugal at an altitude of 1993 meters.
