Alpine Ibex after a thunderstorm

After a long and difficult hike to the top of the Grand Veymont (France, 2341m), we were hesitating whether or not we should sleep at the top. The wheather was pretty bad and we were sourrounded by heavy clouds.

While we were discuting, a dozen of alpine ibex climb their way to the top and start hanging out right next to us. Soon as they came, the clouds started to disappear and a beautiful light appeared.

I shooted this little fellow on a vertinigous edge while he was standing betwin the passing obscurity and the warm and welcomed light of the late afternoon sun.
