Proof that you can find a good location anywhere. My business is based in Springfield, Illinois, also known as the Land of Lincoln. The city is full of historic sites and landmarks, and who would've thought they'd look good in pictures?
For this engagement session, we traveled to Springfield's historic 8th Street, and I stood my couple in the street in front of Abraham Lincoln's home. Because the area is completely closed off from traffic, the foot of snow we got the night before was completely untouched.
I look at this image and I'm reminded of a few things. First, I'm reminded that it's all about how you shoot it. No one will ever know this was in front a very recognizable landmark. Second, I'm reminded of the simplicity of photography; I didn't use any reflectors or strobes for this shot. Just the couple. And third, I'm reminded of the pure beauty of mother nature and how delicate it really is.
