Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) - Doha | Qatar

The Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) in Doha combines centuries of Islamic architectural tradition with the contemporary geometrics of modern cities.

Architect I.M. Pei was hired to design this museum when he was 91 years old (!)

To find inspiration for his work, Pei traveled through Islamic countries, delved into history, and read Islamic texts. In the end, the Ibn Tulun Mosque in Cairo from the 9th century was the biggest influence on his vision.

Who can guess - how old is this Museum of Islamic Art?
