"Natural" Light

I met with this model in Downtown Orlando with no plan other than we wanted to shoot around Lake Eola.

Very quickly, it started raining. Instead of ending the shoot there, we decided on a lark to see if we could find anything interesting in the nearby parking garage. Little did I know that I'd stumble into one of my favorite photos I've ever taken...

All the light in this photo was there when we arrived. I had strobes with me, but I didn't even use them because I loved what already existed. Nothing was composited or artificially lit.

The timing of the light outside was perfect and I was able to use the over-head space lights as a key light on the model. I love the contrast in color between the interior lights and the blue dusk light of the clouds outside.

I had her spin around to get movement/blur with her dress but I asked her to make her head still when she looked towards the outside.
