Al Zubarah Fort | Qatar

Al Zubarah Fort is an extremely important monument for Qatar. Today, this archaeological site shows urban life in the 18th-19th century in the Persian Gulf. Although the pearl-fishing trading town of Al Zubarah has been abandoned, the fort itself is open for tours.

We visited Al Zubarah Fort with our guide Javid. Booking a tour with him proved to be a hit. Not only did he provide us with a lot of knowledge about Qatar, and an adrenaline rush while driving through the dunes, but he also agreed to be the model for this photo.
