The idea for this image came to me while listening to the music of ‘Jeff Buckley’ and researching his life and untimely death. Buckley was swept away from shore, while swimming fully dressed in Wolf River Harbour. Not focused on death, ‘Grace’ asks the viewer to look beyond the floating figure and see what she sees - the heavens opening above her, ready to accept her ascending soul.
