This portrait of gorgeous @fenella_ch was inspired by the late 18th century trend of β€œLoversβ€˜ eyes”, also known as eye miniatures.

These intimate portraits were often commissioned out of affection towards a loved one, be it a lover, a friend, or a child, and were cherished as personal keepsakes. People would wear miniatures as delicate jewels, such as brooches, rings, or pendants and each piece told a tale that was only meaningful to their owner.
