**Early Passion for Literature**

From a young age, Nirmal Tiwari displayed an innate fondness for writing poetry. During his Intermediate studies, his talents were already shining bright as he began publishing articles in newspapers such as Dainik Hint and Naveen Vishwa Manav. These early forays into the world of journalism and poetry marked the beginning of his illustrious career.

He became a regular pen writer for the daily 'Hint,' contributing under the column "Aaj Ki Bowling" and offering Kundalini verses through satire in Naveen Vishwa Manav under the column "Darpan Jhooth Na Bole." His writings resonated with readers and gained him recognition in literary circles.

**A Voice on the Airwaves**

Nirmal Tiwari's literary prowess was not confined to print alone. During this time, he also hosted the program "Yuva Vani" on Akashvani, engaging with a wider audience and further honing his skills as a communicator. He began participating in various poet conferences, marking his presence in the vibrant literary scene of the era.

In 1991, he achieved a significant milestone when he was invited to participate in the All India Kavi Sammelan, an event presided over by the eminent Dr. Santosh Anand, known for his timeless songs in Indian cinema. The anticipation surrounding his TV appearance was so palpable that newspapers in Ghaziabad ran headlines about the young poet's upcoming television debut.

**Nurturing Literary Aspirations**

Nirmal Tiwari's dedication to literature led him to establish the 'Gyanvardhini Yuva Sahitya Manch' in 1990. Through this platform, he organized numerous literary and social programs, providing young poets and writers with a stage to showcase their talents. His contributions to the literary community were recognized when he received the Sahitya Sadhana Award from Sarva Kala Sangam, a prestigious organization of the time.

His articles and poems continued to find their way into renowned newspapers and magazines across the country, cementing his reputation as a writer of note. In the 1990s, he also worked as an employment news reader at Lucknow Doordarshan, with the financial support of the All India Kavi Sammelan and Akashvani Doordarshan programs.

**Entering the World of Politics**

While residing in Kalyanpur, Kanpur, Nirmal Tiwari took a significant step into politics by forming a youth club with over 1000 members. This marked the beginning of his political journey, and he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as a member of the Yuva Morcha. His involvement in organizing various programs and his recognition as a political and social worker laid the foundation for a successful political career.

In 2007, he was nominated by the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) as its candidate from the Kalyanpur Assembly constituency for the state elections. Despite facing strong competition, Nirmal Tiwari lost by a narrow margin of 674 votes. Undeterred, he continued to work among the people and remained in-charge of the assembly from 2007 to 2012.

In 2012, Nirmal Tiwari made a triumphant return to politics when he was elected as a BSP candidate from the Kalyanpur Assembly. However, his tenure was short-lived as he faced defeat in the subsequent elections in 2014 when he contested the Lok Sabha elections from Kannauj. Nevertheless, his commitment to the welfare of society remained unwavering, and he never considered politics as his final destination.

**A Commitment to Society**

Nirmal Tiwari's dedication to societal welfare persisted, and in 2017, he was nominated by the BSP as its candidate from the Govind Nagar Assembly constituency. He believed that if given the chance, he could have emerged victorious once again had he been nominated from Kalyanpur. His service to the people continued to be his driving force.

Nirmal Tiwari's life journey is a testament to his unwavering commitment to both literature and the betterment of society. From the early days of writing verses to his foray into politics, he has left an indelible mark on the cultural and political landscape of Kanpur. His story serves as an inspiration for those who aspire to make a positive impact on society while pursuing their passions.
