The Finnish Sailor

Yesterday, I was out in the Finnish archipelago photographing a sailor. The photo would represent a centuries-long maritime culture. The client showed me a picture (downloaded from the Internet) of the mood they were looking for.
I got the result by making a layer of dust and scratches and a layer of simulated light leakage (from a box camera).
I also reduced the contrast in the background and the clothes and increased the contrast in the face. From the picture, I removed white hairs from the beard and replaced them with black ones.
