White hoodoos, somewhere in the US southwest. This image was taken on my second visit of this location. To capture the Sentinel at first light with the canyon wall behind in the shadows you need to be there in the summer. My first trip was in the winter and it was very different. There were almost 10 years in between of my two trips and I was amazed to see that the fragile environment wasn't damaged by too many visitors. One reason might be that you can't drive there and no tour operators offer trips to the hoodoos.
