I've been learning a lot of beauty retouching techniques over the past year and really wanted a chance to line up a shoot with those techniques in mind rather that use them as an afterthought in post. When we were brainstorming this concept, the only thing that was set in stone was the fact that the final images would be black & white. I wanted to use some of the techniques that I'd learned to preserve as much of the make-up artists work as possible.
