While Rotterdam Museumpark is wort visiting regardless of your interest, it hides a little gem for photo enthusiast - passage under Nieuwe Instituut. During night it will come alive with light artwork created by Peter Struycken more than 30 years ago (one of pioneer project of that time using computers for art – dynamically changing the colour of the light). However, this photo taken during day is exact opposite of its nighttime appearance. Presented with strong composition framed within repeating concrete columns and tiles pattern, leading to apparent infinity within its circular shape I immediately realize the endless possibilities of this location. While preparing to shoot with my camera, a man entered in the view and added the human element to this brutal environment - I've managed to take the photo with my iPhone just in time to capture the moment before it was gone. Postprocessing leaved me with hardly any doubts, it had to be in black and white with strong contrast – I just hope it was enough to transfer the vibe of this place to the viewers...
