Poppyseed Dancer II_02

“Poppyseed Dancer II” is an evocative series of photographs where I sought to capture the profound intersection of movement and emotion, portraying a ballerina's journey through grace, sensuality, and vulnerability. Each image is a fine art portrait that tells a compelling story of human expression.

As I photographed this series, I aimed to unfold a visual symphony, using the ballerina's fluid movements to convey a spectrum of emotions, with each pose and gesture articulating a silent narrative that I hoped would resonate deeply with viewers. I strived to capture her artistry not just as something to be seen but as something to be felt, inviting exploration into the depths of her inner world.

My goal was to create an atmosphere that draws viewers into a closer, more personal connection with the subject. By highlighting the curves of her body with a delicate touch of ethereal light, I aimed to emphasize both her strength and her fragility.

In creating “Poppyseed Dancer II,” I wanted to offer more than just a documentation of dance. I aspired to present a timeless exploration of the human spirit. Through this series, I captured moments of intense passion where the dancer's energy bursts forth with raw, unfiltered power. These moments are juxtaposed with serene, reflective poses, offering glimpses into quieter, more contemplative states of being.

Through this intricate dance, I invite you to witness the profound expression of the ballerina's soul. I hope that as you engage with these images, you are drawn into her world, where every movement is a poetic expression, and every photograph is a chapter in a larger narrative. “Poppyseed Dancer II” is not just a collection of images to me; it is an immersive experience that celebrates the delicate balance of serenity and strength, inviting you to lose yourself in the beauty of the ballerina's emotive performance".

The collection consists of total 11 images and was praised with an award at Budapest International Foto Awards with a title “BIFA Photographer Of The Year 2023”, 1st place and gold in Fine Art category.
