Rising 1,883 meters above sea level, Gaustatoppen is the highest mountain in Telemark and offers a breathtaking 360° view—on clear days, you can see nearly one-sixth of Norway. Known for its rugged beauty, it’s a popular destination for hikers and photographers. Hidden inside is Gaustabanen, a unique funicular railway built in the 1950s for military purposes, now open to the public.
