💡Light Placement
I’m starting in a dark room with a bi-color LED and a Fresnel attachment as my key light, shaped by two V-flats. For fill, I’m bouncing a snooted light off the white side of the V-flats in front of me, simulating a large, soft source. To lift shadows in the foreground, I’m adding a diffused tube light to raise overall brightness, and I'm also using this to introduce color.
🌡️ Color Temperature
I’m shooting at 5000K in-camera, with my RGB tube adding cool cyan tones at low intensity to avoid blue channel clipping. My key light is set to 4000K for warmth, while my 5500K fill subtly cools the shadows. The tube light also helps lift the overall level and adds some blue to my color balance, keeping the scene from feeling too dark or heavy.
🖥️ Post-Processing
To keep colors clean in post, I’ve kept my lights close in Kelvin range, knowing I’ll push saturation in Lightroom. This prevents oversaturation when emulating Kodak 2383, ensuring rich but natural cinematic tones.
