And God said... Let there be LIGHT

An overall view of the Meteora monastery complex in Kalampaka, Greece.
After waiting there for a couple of hours after a winter storm the skies finally opened up a little bit allowing the sun to shine through, giving me this wonderful photo of the valley with some sun-rays passing through the Meteora rock formations.

Thank you for sharing this photo. I did not know of this place until Fstoppers. Want to go there!

You should visit it Kevin!
It's what one could call "the religious small Grand Canyon".
It's a rather unique place ( something rare for the Greek landscape to be honest ).

There are at least 6 nice spots to shoot it from and get different and unique photos, and the light both during sunrise & sunset is magic.
Just make sure you visit during Spring ( 21 March - 21 July ) to avoid the very very very foggy mornings of autumn/winter.

I absolutely love this photo!!!

Thank you very much Jacob!

This is such a beautiful shot!

Thank you very much Crystal!!!

Simply the best photo I've seen from the Meteora!
Gratz!
