Luminescent Lights

The thing about photography is that you are always looking for the best light. The light comes in all different shapes and forms like flashes, the sun, moon, the northern lights... but my favourite light to photograph has to be none. By that I mean night photography, for the fact that you never know what you're going to get.
I had hiked to this location in the evening. Initially I had intended to camp out for sunrise. As the day turned to night I could see a blue glow washing in with the waves. It was bioluminescent krill!! As I walked along the beach I was looking down at my feet. every step I took, my footprint would glow bright blue and as I walked away, the trail of footprints would fade away as well.
I think this is one of those "right place right time" photos. With the Milky way spanning over the sea-stack and the krill rolling in like capelin. but the cherry on the cake is the shooting star in the top right corner. Lucky or not, its a night I wont forget anytime soon.

Very cool image, love it!

Nice!

Nice to get the photo of the day, but it's covering your cherry. LOL. Beautiful, I love it when everything comes together.
