Thoughtful Reflections

I had left work late on a Friday night and walked up towards the Lacs Jovet in the Contamines-Montjoie valley (close to Chamonix in the French Alps) and arrived there around midnight after a long hike through the snow. It was a cold night, and I did not sleep a lot. Up with the first light, the mountains reflected in the half-frozen Lac Jovet. I tried a few different shots but was not quite satisfied with the expected result. In the end, I figured out that a panorama might be the best way to capture not only the reflection but also the line leading away from it.
