The alarm woke us at 3:00 a.m. and an hour later we were on our way to Mount Rainier NP. When we arrived at Reflection Lake, The sky was surprisingly clear, sparkling with stars. Sunrise brought soft colors. We witnessed it in total peace and silence, and it was only after the sun touched the mountain when the birds started to sing. It was an amazing moment, so serene and so worth the early start.
