What lighting did you used? I'm intrigued by this photo, and would love to see how it looks in pure black and white.
Single direct flash from a speedlight on a stick. I'm a big fan of this shot but the community doesn't seem to be rating it too well
Nice, that bare speedlight just works for this shot. That's wierd because it's my favorite from your portfolio, I feel that the only thing that would make it better is getting rid of the 3 lampposts on the right.
I think the brightness around her right hand and the glowy edges around the top railing on the same side of the photo are a bit distracting and may be leading to the lower rating.
She has a huge great iron structure growing out the back of her skull. It's a "Straight to the trash can" image for me because of that. Just my £0.001's worth of course.
