Alter Man

Here is a portrait of my dad where I wanted to capture his age and the effects it's taken on his skin. He has sunbathed unprotected his entire life and his skin has become leathered and scaly. During this shoot he proceeded to talk about his life as a young boy and alter boy living in a Catholic household. He no longer practices religion but I believe the lighting setup made him feel he was being cast in a spiritual light.
