Is Photoshop Remixing the World?

PBS Digital Studios put together "Is Photoshop Remixing the World?" a brief look at how Photoshop has effected today's culture. In the video we hear from three users, first from Jeff Huang, Art Director & Illustrator discussing the way he works with Photoshop to execute his multi layered digital illustrations. Laurent Le Moing of Picturehouse NYC, follows up to talk about the enhancing and readjustments that Photoshop has brought into the retouching world. Last up is Don Caldwell of Know Your Meme who discuses the way Photoshop has helped propel photo manipulated memes within our online culture. Which (in my opinion) is easily the largest in scale since the users create and spread the memes which can reach a massive viewership through viral sharing.

It is easy to see how our world, not only as photographers, have been effected by Adobe Photoshop. Photo manipulation has trickled into the nooks and crannies of all mediums including print, internet and video worlds by giving the users a tool to create ideas that in the past have not been easily achievable.

They forget 1 point-of-view. The BrainWashing images! That ones with thousands of like's and shares and obviously are not true! Unfortunately people can't think by their selves and believe that french people fish sharks with dogs! (just an example) lol, it's stupid but there was hundreds of comments on that image! (i'm not french) Another exemple is the fake north korean army pictures. This can create a lot unnecessary feelings! I Love photoshop, but, like Science this could be god, but also bad. They forget it in this video! (Sorry my english)
