"I have been waiting for about three years to visit a place that has the right conditions to create a shot like this. This weekend I went on a short beach getaway with my girlfriend and while she was sleeping i took all my gear to the beach to shoot timelapse-sequences of the stars, moon and clouds. At the end of the shoot I decided to try my first milky-way panoramic shot. Words can not express how happy I am with how it came out.
The photo consists of 14 horizontal 30 second exposures taken with my 5D MkIII, stitched in Photoshop, edited in Lightroom 5. Shot at Boomerang beach, Australia.
