"Hello, I am a photographer couple from Warsaw, Poland. You can see my work at www.prism.com.pl This is a photo we made for AS BELEZAS DO BRASIL (https://www.facebook.com/AsBelezas), a samba dance group in Warsaw, Poland. We shot this in a dance club. We were in "RUN AND GUN" mode (We learned this from Nick Fancher). We were running inside the club (club was closed) from one location to another to find something interesting.
The easiest and fastest thing to do in run and gun is to underexpose the ambient by one stop with your camera's manual settings, and just trigger an off camera flash in TTL mode, no worries ... no brainer. You can forget the technical stuff and focus on more artistic side, posing, composition, position of light, background etc.While one of us shooting with D800+Nikkor 24-70 2.8G at 52mm 1/200sec f7.1 ISO2000 other one was holding a SB800 flash in TTL mode inside a 60x60 softbox with a lightstand on hand. SB800 was triggered with another on camera SB800 at commander mode turned toward the softbox and flagged not to hit directly at the model.
All post production was made in LR4 bumped shadows, played with individual color curves." -Iza Derlacińska Mazhar Basa
