"Image of the Jefferson Memorial and Tidal Basin in Washington D.C. during each of the seasons. While the concept isn't new I always enjoy see the change a single location can go through during a year. Each of the four images used in the final image is an HDR image blended together using Nik HDR efex Pro 2. When taking the photo I would set up visual markers so the resulting images could be easily blended without major Photoshop work.
I was sure to use the same lens each time at the same focal length. I used a tree next to where I was standing to help place my tripod in the same location each time. I also set up other visual markers like lining the bench leg up with the building and the gaps between the tree trunks so the perspective was the same. I also tried to get the images around the same time of day so the lighting was similar. (with necessary adjustments for season time differences) Once I had each image it was just a matter of masking out the different picture for each season. I plan on doing more like this in the future and blend them in ways other than the vertical columns." -Kevin Miller

Nice shot, although I think you should have gone Sping, Summer, Fall, Winter as that is how we think of progressing through our own lives. Winter may be the first season on the calender, but ending in winter may have a more familiar feel.
sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
Thanks Sean and Matthew. Glad you like it.
Sean, I actually had it the way you suggested and didn't think it took the streagth of each season in the image. For example the far right would be the winter image but it would have mainly shown a boring bare tree with water. Not much snow would be shown like it is on the ground and tree. Fall with the leaves would have had the part of the image with the least amount of tree showing. So for this one I went with Winter first.
