"I've always loved shots that looked like they were extremely out of place. So the self portrait of myself being well dressed in an abandoned school evolved into much more when I had the idea of being calmly on fire. I felt like the flames added to the already oddness of the setting and added even more to the feeling of things being out of place. I shot the flames on a separate location and layered them into the photo using Photoshop, then worked on the coloring in Lightroom. Shot with a Nikon D7000 and a single flash hidden in a room directly across from my position." -Robert Callahan
