"My wife and I recently took our daughter for a walk at a new park next to Spokane Falls in downtown Spokane. The area had recently been renovated and turned into a very cool industrial type park below the dam and water power building. High above the gorge, you can see the Monroe Street Bridge arching overhead, creating an interesting backdrop and framing piece.
It was later in the day and the sun was creating magnificent light as it set behind the bridge and the light fell through the arch. As with photographing any young children, our 20-month-old daughter Josey was more interested in exploring the fun sites that taking pictures, but I managed to grab this great moment between mother and daughter when she thought I wasn't looking. (She typically turns her head away from the camera and plays shy, at this stage.)"- Michael Kinney
