Portrait of the Leg-Rowing Fisherman

Inle is the second largest lake in Myanmar. About 70,000 people are living in numerous small villages along the lake's shores, and on the lake itself. The few local fishermen of Inle Lake are known for practicing a distinctive rowing style which involves standing at the stern on one leg and wrapping the other leg around the oar. I was lucky to meet one of them and he was kind enough to let me jump on his boat to immortalize this moment, putting my camera through the net.
