"I've started shooting portraits on film. I love digital, but there is something special about film for me. I love the look, the feel, and the process of shooting on film. I picked up a used Nikon F100 and some Kodak Portra 400 and started shooting. Film slows me down and really allows me to get to know my subject and work with them to capture their personality on film. This image was taken at a great local spot that has tons of great backdrops, but the contrast of the ivory coat and golden field really popped for me. Photo was developed and scanned by a local lab and I healed a few blemishes in LR. The film workflow of today is really easy and allows you to shoot on film and get a digital file you can make adjustments to if you need to." - Chris Nachtwey
