Ron P.Jaffe is originally from Montgomery, Alabama. By 1974 he was teaching photography at the University level as professor of photography at Chapman College – World Campus Afloat, aboard ship traveling to South America, Africa and Europe. Prior to 1974 Jaffe shot fashion including Barco of California, Jag Swimwear, and DeWeiss, as well as portraits of federal politicians and shooting commercial ads. Then, came the glamour industry for two years and published in high profile magazines: Club, Gallery, Penthouse, etc. Jaffe contracted with Elson Alexandre in Los Angeles in 1977 – photographing Corporate Executives, Doctors, Attorneys, Judges and family portraits for 20 years shooting more than 37,000 portraits casual and formal.
By 1990 Jaffe was hired for dedication of the Richard Nixon Library and Birthplace, and soon thereafter, became the official staff photographer and spent more than 15 years photographing the national archives of President Nixon’s life – his birth place, gravesite, events and the First Lady. Thru Pres. Nixon, Ron met and photographed 5 more USA Presidents and 11 heads of State of foreign nations, in addition, over 100 consuls, Senators,& Congress.
Now, Ron shoots unit stills, prop stills, Gallery and headshots for the TV/Entertainment world. Having worked on WEST WING, FRIENDS, CASTLE..and more recently, DR PHIL, CODE BLACK, NCIS:LA, JANE THE VIRGIN, SHOOTER, THE ODD COUPLE
