I have been described as a contemporary digital artist & I'll use that! I find reading amazing but I can't write like I can get straight to a point or emotion with a hard hitting or beautiful image.
Because 'things' or 'situations' can be imagined perfectly, & photography takes a snapshot of a piece of history, or a memory you want to keep as a physical something, rarely am I happy with just that. I like to then create art works by abstraction or enhancement. I like to use a certain level of complexity but not so distorted that the viewer is confused & cannot 'see' or understand what it's all about.
I like to provoke questions. to attempt to force a thought past the subject & think what my message or purpose I wish to get across is. It can shed light on an issue I'm passionate about, & gives someone a different perception or allows them to see, should they want, what I do or feel what I did at that time.
The majority of my work when stripped back, is essentially emotion based & I use my creativity to express whats inside; dark, funny, perverse; I hope to make it acceptable, colourful & turn in into something beautiful; healing or at least, understood.
