José Pérez-Mesa, photographer and director of Puro Enfoque L.L.C., has over forty years of experience in the photographic industry and more than twenty-five in the field of digital imaging as a developer, artist and consultant. He has published in local, national and international newspapers, magazines and books. His photos of art, stage art, dance and documentaries are part of public and private collections of several countries.
Pérez-Mesa, was a founding member of the Association of Photojournalists of Puerto Rico (AFPR), and belonged to its Board of Directors for several terms. He is also a member of the National Association of Press Photographers (NPPA). Today he works as an independent technical representative for the Canon USA professional market.
As part of his social commitment, he devotes part of his time to helping and developing new professional photographers.
