Retired dentist redirecting my passion for photography I've had since high school. So, after thirty six years of expressing my artistic side through the practice of cosmetic dentistry - and documenting my work photographically - it's time to look toward other subjects to photograph. In 2019 I ditched my heavy, clunky Nikon DSLR and its associated gear in favor of a Sony a6600 mirrorless body and a trio of new lenses. I joined my local camera club and set about getting myself up to speed on Photoshop and Lightroom and several of the other editing apps in common use. In dentistry, editing is limited to cropping and sensor dust spot removal. For presentation and publication, one has to affirm that what's being presented is a true and accurate portrayal of reality. So I am really enjoying creating images that don't have those constraints. Additionally, after having lived most of my professional life 100% in the digital realm, I have just ventured into printing my own fine art images.
