Dave has been involved with Photography and Digital Imaging as a hobby since the early 1980’s when he purchased his first 35mm SLR camera. Upon completing several Brook’s photography classes he employed this new knowledge with his background and education to photograph the diverse landscape of the San Francisco Bay area - from the coast to the Sierra’s. Upon retirement from a successful career in Manufacturing and Materials Management he initiated a small photography business, Fat Kat Photography, in San Jose, CA and would shoot at local car shows and Concours d’Elegance events. He turned professional in 2001 as interested car owners requested Dave’s services to photograph their prize possessions. Dave now shoots exclusively for several Automotive and Motorcycle specialty businesses as well as provides images to select Internet sites that sell his images internationally. Dave has been published in Sports Car Digest, and several Hot Rod and Sports Car Magazines. In addition, his work can be seen in many Calendars and other automotive related publications. Look for more of Dave’s images in Roy Lonberger’s new book ‘Maestro’ (referring to Bill Mitchell, GM’s Design Chief in the ‘60’s and 70’s).
