I got my first real camera in 2009 as an extension of my skills as a professional communicator, working in public relations for a small, Midwestern college. I've been hooked ever since. I'm now the primary sports photographer for the college as well as sharing responsibility for event and stock photography.

Over the last year, I've been learning portraiture, and I've had an amazing time exploring the worlds of fitness, fashion and commercial photography. Fstoppers and similar sites have played a huge role in my education as a photographer.
