By profession I am a clerk in a government run school. I come from a family where hobbies are encouraged. As a matter of fact, my grandfather and father would sketch with quite authority. I used to draw and paint quite well in my school days. But as the socio-economic condition in India demands, I had to let go the hobby and concentrate for a job. But both my younger brothers stuck to their hobby of painter and designer and are established in their own field. It was quite by chance in late 90s that I took up photography and got hooked to it. I realised that deep inside me I am an artist first. My initial dabbling with paints and brushes educated me with the basics of lines, composition, colours and perspectives. I am so much engrossed with photography that the camera has become a part of my physical and mental existence. In my initial days with camera, I used to shoot in films and post process it in the dark room made in the attic of our home with the help of one friend who was like a elder brother to me and my younger brother. We used to develop and print till late in the night. Later, when film cameras made way to digital cameras and we shifted to it. At present I have enrolled myself in an institute to learn about the basics of art photography. And right now I am trying to gain knowledge in post processing.
