I am a retired American man learning photography
My favorite color is bright lemon yellow
I like Kurt Vonnegut, Schubert, Leonard Cohen, smaller government, and liberty,
My favorite food is pork, chilies and holy basil wok’ed and put on rice. There must also be a lightly friend egg on top.
I have a Nikon D5000 but I have used it up like a tube of tooth paste. Hardly any aspect of it is fully functional anymore Tomorrow I will order a D7000. If it is available if not the D7001.
I have a lot of lenses but I find myself using Nikon 50mm 1.8 most of the time. I did not make that choice it just happened. It takes too long for my zooms to focus and I don't like the way my 35mm looks. (the photos) I don't understand what is wrong with the look because I am just an amateur. I hope my zooms work more effectively on my new d7001.
I never go out to shoot photos. I take my camera where ever I go. Most of the time when I see something very interesting I forget I am a photographer and just experiencing it without capturing it. Then I feel angry and ashamed.
I like to take photos of living things. The more intelligent the subject the more I like to shoot it. My first choice is dogs, then people, then birds, sometimes a giant lizard and lastly flowers. I shoot flowers when I am very desperate for a subject.
I may not churn out many quality photos but I don't think there are many photographers that enjoy it more than I do
