Richard Strickland on Fstoppers

Hi, my name is Richard Strickland. Im currently working on self teaching myself photography. I tend to do mostly automotive, portraits, children, pets and trying out weddings in the future. I enjoy getting feedback on my work and will try my best to learn from anyone. I started photography in the summer of 2012 during a deployment to Afghanistan. My buddy who knew I was always a video guy told me to try it out. I fell in love with it so fast. I quickly got off of auto mode as I didnt like how it was. I started reading books and articles. I hope to someday do photography as a living once I decide to stop serving in the military.
