My interest in photography began when I was six: while peering through my grandfather's old twin lens Rolleiflex. From within changed the world as I knew it quite literally; vignetted, dark, and upside down. My perception of what was vision,the world around me and my understanding of it changed in a single moment. This began a momentum of synergy that would be developed slowly from a confluence of life experiences into a vehicle of purpose--with a license to broach subjects,simple,complex and influential. To be given the right to tell a story, your story, my story, our story. What makes us human and all the colors that fill our world; light, dark, ugly and beautiful with everything in between. A license to be fearless to say the things that need to be expressed, a voice that cannot be ignored no matter how quiet or small.
