Alexander Marte Reyes was born in the Dominican Republic and immigrated to New York City in 1993. He became captivated by photography in the Army when a Lieutenant shared his camera. Alexander purchased his first professional camera immediately after.

Alexander spends all his free time studying photography techniques and taking pictures displaying his unique perspective. He has been awarded twice in the Samuel J. Wood Library Annual Virtual Medical Complex Art show. The first time he entered the competition in 2016, he won 3rd place in the Art & Photography category. He placed 2nd in 2017 for the same category.
