Whenever I am asked to fill out a bio, I ask the most important question that can be asked a photographer. I learned the answer to this question by myself, and from one of the industries most admired photographers Joe McNally. When asked why he became a photographer, he answered, "because being a photographer is who he is, in addition to what he does." I have a passion or love of great imagery, whether people, landscape, architecture, or product. The story of the image is why I am a photographer, and the history of how an image is made is the language of I study the art.

Now I do not currently derive most of my income from photography. I work in a technical field that has little to do with my passion, but it does allow me to own some high quality tools of the trade. Like Joe, I consider myself to be a generalist, because I am good in many areas, but not brilliant in any one.
