We all have that project on the back burner, the one we will get to one day. This book is just that, my personal project. It took a global pandemic to finally bring it to fruition. Three albums of 35mm negatives have sat on my office shelf for decades before I began scanning them and uploading them to my Instagram page @linden_archives
In 1989 I entered a competition in a free gay magazine called Scene Out. I didn’t win. But my article and photographs from Harrogate’s fledgling scene were published. That was my first article in print. A year later, a friend based in Leeds established his own free magazine, entitled All Points North. ‘Out & About with Linden’ became a regular monthly feature.
