The Humans Being Project

I am working on a long term humanitarian photo project that I've named The Humans Being Project (THBP). It is a cataloging of our time whose mission is to create a visual library of the many faces of our humanity that inspires and connects the viewer to the wider world by providing a window into widely varied ways of life. THBP communicates the inherent sameness that exists within us despite our vast differences.

THBP began in 2018 as a passion project and will soon be expanding to feature the work of select photographers and videographers from around the world. I'll be utilizing other artists' unique expertise and perspective on their home countries to inform the project's chronicling of their nation’s peoples and culture(s).

I exited my former life in the fall of 2018 to travel the world full-time. As of mid-March 2020, when Covid put international travel on hold for me and many others, I have visited 21 different countries.

I aim to explore countries with truly different ways of life from anything I've known and to spend time with local people in as intimate and remote a setting as possible. I share stories of the people I meet through images and video and also play music.
